Review: Fonster – Get a unique Font for your ROM

Fonster

One of the best features about Android is the amount of customization it offers to the users. Not only can you change big things such as the booting animations or the overall theme of your device, you can also fixate upon and change minor things such as icons, lock screens, fonts etc. as well. Now while many people don’t understand the little fixations we just mentioned, we on the hand are here to help people take yet another step in the direction of customizing each and every bit of their device to their liking with this review of Fonster.

Review: Fonster – Get a unique Font for your ROM

Fonster is a root requiring app (meaning that for this app to work, your device must be fully rooted) that lets users change their AOSP based ROM’s font with ease. The app allows users to browse through over 150 font families till they find one to their liking.

The whole process is fairly simple and doesn’t really take users too long. Basically you just run the app after installation and browse through the list of fonts, previewing if necessary till you find a font that strikes your fancy. After which you just tap “Apply” and the system font for your ROM is changed to the one of your choice in a few seconds.

The app also comes with a backup and restore feature which allows users to be able to experiment more with the app without worrying about the fact that what would happen if something goes awry. So, as a result if things do go south for some reason, you can simply restore the backup and start all over again.

In conclusion, I would suggest that those of you who do rock a rooted device should definitely consider trying out Fonster as quite frankly it offers one of the easiest ways to put a personal touch on your device without requiring you to be tech wizard of some sort.
