When it comes to puzzle games, I don’t think there is any other game on Android that has reached the same level of notoriety or popularity (depending upon which side of the fence you’re on) as Candy Crush Saga. While the game itself didn’t really introduce anything new apart from ripping off some small time indie developers, it still manages to remain an intoxication that almost all of us have shared at one time or another. Keeping that in mind, we will like to chip into that intoxication by offering players our Candy Crush Tips *to help them play the game more effectively.
Candy Crush Saga Tips and Tricks
Reset Boards:
Once a level starts, study the board. If it’s not to your liking, just reset the board by exiting and reopening the level. This way you won’t lose any lives.
Don’t go for Suggested Moves:
One of the worst beginner’s mistake is to go for the suggested moves. These moves usually only hinder your progress or hurt potential combos that could have been made if you had just looked harder.
Go for the Right Combos:
While it’s one thing to go for combos, you should always know which combos to go for in particular levels. If used right, a combo can clear the whole stage for you as well as get you a high score. For example, it’s always best to use a color bomb with a striped candy when you have lots of candy of the same color on the board. Similarly, striped candy with a wrapped candy works great for clearing chocolate or jelly.
Go for the Edges:
In levels that require you to remove jelly from the board, always remember to prioritize and focus the ones that are on the edge or in the corner of the board. These places are the hardest to clear as they offer the least amount of combinations possible.
Get Extra Lives:
If you’re playing the game before sleeping, you can always get extra lives by changing the time on your device. The game does punish you for it by removing the extra lives after you reset to the correct time but you can always use this trick before bed as it won’t really matter while you’re sleeping.
Start at the Bottom:
The best of Candy Crush tips is to start matching at the bottom. Not only will this increase the chances of future combos but it will also increase your chances of getting a chain clearance as well.
