It’s really surprising how social we have gotten with our smartphones. Instead of actually directly talking to people, we now rely on notifications to inform us of what’s happening in our and other’s lives. Of course, it’s only natural for us to hope that the only thing that informs us of everything around us is somewhat unique and ensures we don’t miss any important updates. This is where the app Floatifications comes in handy.
Review: Floatifications – Make your Notifications Float
Floatifications is a notification app that basically takes notifications from all apps and display them as a floating icon, much similar to that of Facebook Chatheads. The concept itself is nothing new as apart from Facebook, it was also adapted and made famous by Paranoid Android’s famous Halo Notifications in their custom ROMs. However, thanks to the app you don’t really have to install a custom ROM or even root your device to get notifications in a hip, new fashion.
The app works really great and even manages to pop up notifications in full screen apps such as YouTube or any game you might be playing. Now, I know this can be somewhat inconvenient especially if you want some down time all to yourself but thanks to the amount of customizability the app offers, you can basically turn off the full screen notifications with ease as well as modify every other aspect of the app to your liking.
The only downside is that the app isn’t really free but it does offer a 14 day free trial in which users can test the waters to all their liking and make an informed decision. So, if you’re looking for an exciting new way to view your device notifications, then I highly recommend that you think about testing out Floatifications on your device and if you do like it, you can just upgrade to the paid version with ease.
