It was Plato who once said, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” Of course he had no idea what would be called as music after a couple of centuries but hey, we’re not here to judge. So to each, his own. That being said, no matter what your preference is, music does play an important part in our day to day life and because of this importance, music player apps are among the most popular apps on the Play Store. Pixel Player is such a recent app which just might make it among the most popular apps on the Play Store (once it gets passed its beta stage that is).
Review: Pixel Player – Play your Music!
Pixel Player is a highly customizable and powerful music player that is well on its way to popularity among the masses. Not only is it free to use, but thanks to its ability to use a smaller amount of system resources (as compared to other music player apps) it’s really a good bargain. Apart from having the standard kickass sound output, the app also offers Holo UI, lock screen controls, queue management, widgets, and headset button controls.
The GUI of the app is also quite amazing, user friendly and somewhat simplistic. Though that being said, since the app is still in its beta stages there are a few bugs here and there in terms of its functionality but I’m guessing with time these kinks will be ironed out by the developer.
If you’re a person who loves music and is tired of all the bulky music player apps hogging up all of your system resources, you should definitely think about trying out Pixel Player. Of course, the app is still in its beta stages (as mentioned earlier) but it does have its charms and with an active developer who is willing to work on user suggestions, who knows, it just might turn out to be the music player app you always dreamt about having.
