Review: The Simpsons: Tapped Out – Control Springfield

Simpsons: Tapped out

The Simpsons have been around for almost more than 2 decades now and while some might say they are losing their touch, it’s still a good comedy show nonetheless. Of course like every other cartoon show which has seen success, Simpsons also have a whole variety of spin-off products from the show. A prime example of it is the game The Simpsons: Tapped Out.

Review: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a building simulation game that lets player reconstruct the whole of Springfield from scratch after an accident at the Nuclear Power Plant (Go Homer!) destroys the town. Players start off with Homer and more characters are unlocked as the players construct buildings relating to the cast. For example, constructing Springfield Elementary unlocks Principal Skinner, Krusty Burger unlocks Krusty and so on.

The basic premise of the game is to maintain the town and assign characters their daily chores. Each chore after completion gives you experience and money which in turn can be used to unlock and construct new structures. To make things more fun, you can also visit your friends’ Springfield and either help or vandalize their towns to unlock special buildings as well.

Of course by now this all seems pretty standard for a building simulation game but the thing which sets the game apart from others is its faithfulness to the TV show. Not only does the game have artwork from Matt Groening, it also brings the same brand of comedy that has made the show so great.

Overall, The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a great game that lets you control the lives of everyone in Springfield. With updates and in game events added to the game regularly, it’s one of those games which promises to occupy the storage of your phone for a very long time by always giving you something new to play with. So, if you’re a Simpsons fan, do try the game out and thank us later.
