While video games are supposed to be unrealistic and just a way for people to defy the laws of Physics in all manners, there are certain games available on the Play Store that stay true to the laws of nature to the best of their ability. World of Goo is an iconic example of such a game. With its almost realistic Physics engine, you often have to think outside the box to come up with a valid solution to the puzzles the game presents to its players. That being said, there’s no way you can’t take some help and improve your overall performance by following our World of Goo Tips & Tricks.
World of Goo Tips & Tricks
Physics is a Thing:
Physics plays an important part in this game so you should always be aware of the real enemy to your structures named: Gravity. Start off with a solid base for your structures and make your way towards the top. Remember the basic rules of logic and always go for a solid, sturdy structure.
Be Fast:
You can’t always have a solid, sturdy structure especially if you have limited resources. Therefore, when the time comes for you to build a long, unstable tower, just remember to be fast. It will take a little time for the structure to rock back and forth before falling and if you can make your moves accordingly in that time, you’re good to go.
Use the Force (of the Pipe):
If you ignore the bad Star Wars reference, this is actually a pretty good tip! The suction of the pipe can help suck in those stray Goo balls with ease.
Pay Attention to the Environment:
No, this isn’t about Global Warming but rather about actually paying attention to the location and obstacle your Goo balls are in. For example if your Goo balls are sloshing back and forth in a water tank or something of the sort, you need to build a large base so that your structure doesn’t sway back and forth. Remember, this is a Physics Simulator game! Use all the things you learnt in Physics 101 or Common Sense for Beginners to your advantage!
Explore with the Green or Silver Goo Balls:
Since Green and Silver Goo balls can be reused or reallocated, it’s a pretty safe bet to use the black Goo balls for the base of your structures and exploring the top with the Green and Silver Goo balls. This will ensure that you use the minimum amount of Goo balls per level.
Hope you’ll now be able to construct some creative solutions thanks to our World of Goo Tips & Tricks. Have fun.
