Always remember to invest some early DNA points in Transmission in the infection tree as otherwise you’ll be left with a few thousand dead people with the rest of the humans living large.
Infect Islands First:
It’s always a good idea to infect islands first as the island populace are the hardest to reach otherwise and they usually have a stronger immune system than many other mainland countries in the game. I personally like to start my killings with the islands of Greenland, New Zealand, Madagascar etc. However, if you’re a beginner, you should aim for countries such as India which are poor, have a high population and can easily be infected.
Target Research Countries:
After your disease has gained some notoriety on the international level, it’s always a good idea to start the transmutation of the disease to countries which are trying to research to find a cure.
Plan your Disease Evolution Tree:
As mentioned earlier, it’s always a good idea to invest some points in the infection tree; another great idea is to plan out your trees beforehand. I personally like to ensure that I get Extreme Bio-aerosol and Organ Failure in my trees. If you don’t plan beforehand, you’ll end up to do without a lot of expensive good abilities. Also, investing a few points in drug resistance and lethality aren’t a bad way to go either.
News are Important:
Pay attention to the news, so you can plan your disease spread accordingly. Countries which are falling into anarchy on their own should be given less attention as compared to countries in which researchers are trying to identify a cure.
Change Strategies near the End:
Once you have managed to infect 99% of the world population, it’s high time to change your strategy. This is the time, if any to reshuffle some points on your Disease Evolution Tree and invest some points in things like Genetic Reshuffling to make the cure harder to come by. Though you should definitely get Extreme Bio-aerosol by this time if you haven’t already as the last 1% of the people are the hardest to infect.
