While Plants vs. Zombies 2 was a worthy sequel to its predecessor when released, future updates ruined the game and made players furious when it vigorously started pushing in app purchases. I mean sure it’s one thing to enjoy a game and spend some money on it but it’s quite another to push products so much that it is next to impossible to go through the game without lightening your wallet. That being said, it didn’t really stop me from trying to find ways around the whole thing, which as you guessed it, turned out to be quite boring and repetitive. Plants vs. Zombies 2 Tips and Tricks
Zombies Always Follow the Same Pattern:
It won’t be long when you’ll be replaying a level after you failed the first time around. However, the only solace is the fact that each time a level restarts, you are able to tell from which lanes the zombies will attack as they always follow the same pattern in a stage. Use this to your advantage and put plants where they are needed the most.
Go for Area of Effect Plants:
Plants which have an area of effect damage are great overall but they kick it exceptionally well when you’re in a level where you have limited resources to work with.
Don’t Let the Yeti Escape:
If you feel like you won’t be able to kill the treasure yeti or he might escape just restart the level. It’s one of the only times in the game when you’re able to get something for free so it’s best that you don’t screw it up.
Use Catapults:
One of the most underrated attacks in the whole series has to be the butter shot from a Kernel Pult. Though the plant is pretty much useless on its own but when combined with the right plants, it manages to increase your overall damage output while keeping your frontlines untouched.
Maximize your Sunflower Output:
If you have plant food, that’s great but don’t ever use it on your sunflowers to give your sunlight a boost. Instead go for a double line of sunflowers and just cash in on more sunlight that you’ll be able to handle. The way to go about it is to plant one line of sunflowers and leaving the next one while you plant some defensive plants. After which, just plant the sunflowers 1 or 2 at a time to get the next lane rolling.
Grind Like Crazy:
The best of Plants vs. Zombies 2 tips is to grind like crazy as it’s the only way you’ll be able to get all the keys or stars you require to progress through the game without having to spend actual money. It may get boring and repetitive but hey, that’s the point when you close the game and play an actual free to play game instead just to remind yourself what it’s supposed to mean.
