Review: Heroes of Loot – A Retro RPG

Heroes-of-Loot-Title

When it comes to RPGs often many developers tend to ruin a game by overdoing what could had been simplistically beautiful. While others tend to overlook and exclude many major aspects which make this genre so appealing in the first place. That being said, sometimes there is a game which even while ignoring the key points of the genre, manages to make up for it with its addictive gameplay. A good example of this is the game Heroes of Loot.

Review: Heroes of Loot – A Retro RPG

Heroes of Loot is quite a famous Role Playing Game (RPG) that has players rummage through dungeons, collecting loot, using power-ups and killing anything that stands in their way. With epic boss monsters and lots of squishy enemies to try your might on, it will be a long time before you’ll get bored of this game.

The game itself doesn’t have any skill point trees that players can invest points in but it does have a levelling system through which the player’s character gets strong as they kill more things. The game also features a multi character select screen, on which players can select the one character that suits their style of play. Each character has certain weaknesses and strengths that are unique to them, thus giving the game a high replay value.

With the 8 bit sprites and pixelated graphics, the game looks as if it was meant to be released on the NES rather than the Android OS. However, with its retro controls (i.e. using the D-pad to move and having only one shoot button) and graphics the game sure can be quite nostalgic for all of us who have been playing games for as long as they can remember.

So if you’re a fan of the RPG genre of gaming and are looking for a bit of a retro styled game in that particular genre, you should definitely try out Heroes of Loot as soon as possible. The game will not only manage to remind you of all the good old times but will also manage to pull you into its world with its highly addictive and fun gameplay.
