Speed Up Your Android Phone By Disabling Bloatware

Most manufacturers assume that they can make you use their unwanted apps by making them non-removable. A majority of users believe that they cannot be removed unless you root your device, thereby making the warranty void. Seriously, who wants some so-called service apps from a phone company running all the time in the background, eating up your precious RAM memory?

You can actually speed up your Android phone by disabling bloatware which is the closest that you can get to uninstalling them. The good news is, no rooting is required which makes the methods given below an easy way for most users who don’t like to do so.

How to Speed Up Your Android Phone By Disabling Bloatware

The Manual, One by One Style

A system cannot identify bloatware automatically, especially in Vanilla Android because they are designed to be system files that are not supposed to be removed. You can do it manually though and remove them one by one.

Go to Settings panel, open Applications or App manager and proceed to Installed apps on your phone. Just swipe right and you will be in this menu that displays all the apps where you can force stop or disable unwanted apps. Using force stop will save you memory as well as get rid of any operation issues on your phone/ tablet caused by the app. This is a temporary solution though and you can use it if you plan to make use of the application at a later time.

Disabling is a permanent option which if chosen will show a warning message. Once done, check the tray again to see if the app shows disabled on the right hand side to confirm that it’s not running.

Remove Them By Groups

Google’s stock Android doesn’t feature this option but again if you are using a Nexus with Vanilla Android, it might hardly have much bloatware to get rid of. The grouped disabling method is ideal for companies which customize the OS to their needs as HTC, Samsung and others do. You can do a batch search (searches made using the name of the phone carrier or the manufacturer) and disable everything in the list at once, which is quick and efficient to a certain extent.

However, disabled apps will continue to take up your storage space even though they will be barred from running on your phone. Any apps from carrier or manufacturer which are embedded by default cannot be removed fully unless you root your device but you can speed up your Android by disabling bloatware to a great extent.
