Review: Commandr – Improve Your Google Now Experience

Review commandr

Ever since its release, Google Now has surely come a long way. We have seen it evolve from an impractical, inaccurate and downright awful helper to something that can finally be used. However, that being said it’s still a far way from being perfect as you still have to do a wide variety of tasks manually. Like for example to turn on the Wi-Fi, you have to instruct Google Now to go to Settings, Wi-Fi and then have to toggle it on or off manually. While there isn’t anything wrong with this method, you can greatly improve on your Google Now experience by using Commandr.

Review: Commandr – Improve Your Google Now Experience

Commandr is a supplement app that basically allows you greater control over your device through the use of “OK Google”. Instead of doing many tasks manually or in fractals, you can use custom commands that apart from saving you precious time, will also make using your phone a breeze. Finally, I can be able to change songs on my phone while driving without making everyone’s life rush past them before their very eyes.

Using the app is really easy and doesn’t require much effort on your part. All you have to do is to turn on the commands you want “OK Google” to recognize from a list within the app and just use them like you would any other Google Now command. For example, if I want to turn on my device’s flashlight, all I have to do is say, “OK Google, Turn on Flashlight” and voila, the flashlight will be turned on even if my phone was in offline mode.

Now, I know most of you might be concerned about the extra battery life this app will take but on the contrary, the app hardly has an effect on the device’s battery. With new commands being added to the app with every update, Commandr surely provides a great way to enhance on your Google Now experience without you having to root your device. So, if you’re a person who does use Google Now a lot, we highly recommend that you think about trying Commandr out.
